Are hopes of a grand alliance in Bihar all over? If one goes by Tejashwi Yadav, former deputy chief minister and son of RJD chief, Lalu Yadav, then this dream is all but over. The past few weeks have witnessed friction between Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar’s JDU and their alliance partner – BJP. Nitish also spoke to Lalu over the phone this Tuesday and enquired about his well-being. Lalu underwent a surgery in Mumbai a few days ago. Tejashwi put an end to any further speculation by saying - the door is closed for Nitish to return to the grand alliance. The Congress has chosen to wait and watch for the moment. Political analysts believe an alliance between RJD-JDU and Congress will be able to crush BJP in the 2019 elections in Bihar which send 40 MP’s to Lok Sabha.
